Last night was the last night of the Track Cycling Nationals at the Velodrome. What can I say? It was very exciting. We went Friday and Saturday nights. Paula loves the new binoculars I got her for her birthday. We watched many of our hometown regulars take top honors. There's really nothing like watching the riders duke it out in the last turn, coming into the homestretch, to cross the finish, right in front of us. Watching near the track, at the boards, is also a trip. You can really feel the speed listening to the bikes race past. It's amazing.
With the end of the Velodrome season starts another season, our new passion: Hawk Mountain. More on this later.
