It has been a long time since I wrote here....or anywhere for that matter. Writing for me is a challenge sometimes. It's so easy for the "busy"ness of life to draw me away from expressing where I am. However, so much has happened lately that the thoughts are running restlessly in my mind looking for a place to land.
We are going to be parents. I'm slowly acknowledging the wondrous reality of that statement. I can't even count the years I have been hoping for this. We talked to the most wonderful young couple for the first time last Wednesday, who, by some miracle, chose us to be the parents of their daughter to be born in February. In a less than two-hour conversation, our lives changed forever. And the respect and appreciation I already feel for Jamie and David is beyond words. Who could ask for a better gift?
